This project was a complete redesign of our standard jack and slide systems. The tight confinement of the vessel left no room for sliding equipment. Therefore, all equipment placement and connections had to be outside of the vessel.
The Launcher design accommodated this requirement to build and launch sections into the vessel. This design, according to the client, had not been done before. The sections, paddles and chain sections went in one at a time.
The client was extremely satisfied with the sections going into place at a rate that was much faster than first assumed.
